About Our Leathers

All of our leather goods are hand crafted in house in our New York City studio with the same mindfulness and attention to detail as our custom moto projects. In a day and age where assembly lines and division of labor are par for the course, we're proud to offer our top-quality handmade goods as an option. Each product is made the good ol’ fashioned way, by hand and one at a time.

Our products are designed and constructed to be pliable and wearable right out of the box, so while we hope you'll be thrilled with how your gear ages, you'll also love it on day one.

We source the bulk of our leather from The Horween Leather Company, a tannery in Chicago that has provided its customers with excellence for more than a hundred years, and Clayton of Chesterfield, UK

Chromexcel leather is one of our base supplies and something we are proud to surround ourselves with. Chromexcel is one of the grandfathers of leather options and is made using tried-and-true processes and formulas that were fine tuned over a century ago. It has a beautiful, rich pull-up effect. Simply put, the oils and waxes tend to have a darkening effect on the overall hue of the leather, but when it's bent, any lighter colors make their appearance.

Shell Cordovan is a very specific leather, from a particular part of a horsehide. It takes at least six months to complete the process of tanning and polishing the oval-shaped shells. From being slowly steeped in mild vegetable liquors, to being fitted onto glass frames to dry, to being hand dyed, rubbed, and glazed by skilled artisans, Cordovan brings our products to next-level excellence.

Finally, we source our Copper, Gotham Black, and Vintage Ball Glove leathers from the S.B. Foot Tanning Company, a U.S. producer of fine leathers since 1872.
